Found in Jamaica without locality as a mini-miniature sized, epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 4, close, ribbed tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, obtuse to subacute, minutely erose margins, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late summer and early fall on a subcongested, pendent, .4 to .6" [1 to 1.5 cm] long including the .2" [5 mm] long peduncle, successively 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence arising at the apex of the ramicaul with an acute floral bract.
Similar species include P sanchezii, P rabei, P dalesandroi, P burzlaffiana and P lewisii
