Found in Peru and Bolivia as a mini-miniautre sized epiphyte with stout ramicauls enveloped by a close a thin, tubular sheath and carrying a single, apical, suberect, to prone, overlapping, thickly coriaceous, elliptical, obtuse, cuneate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the later summer on a lateral from the ramicaul, .12" [3 mm] long, sucessively single, few flowered inflorescence.
Similar species include P rabei, P jamaicensis, P dalesandroi, P sanchezii and P lewisii
