Common Name The Angled Pleurothallis [refers to the flexuous rachis]

Found in Pichincha Ecuador in wet forests at elevations around 2700 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a stout rhizome giving rise to stout ascending ramicauls enveloped by 1 to 2 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, fleshy, elliptical, obtuse, broadly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, zigzag, to 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, including the peduncle .08 to .12" [2 to 3 mm] long, loose, successively several flowered inflorescence arising laterally from the ramicaul with an oblique floral bract.

Similar species include P funerea and P anfracta.
