Found in southeastern Ecuador in cloud forests at elevations around 1800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, densly caespitose, cool growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls that are enveloped basally by 2 to 3 loose, ribbed, tubular sheaths that blooms on an erect, 1.5" [3.75 cm] long, very slender, smooth, congested raceme arising from low on the ramicaul that has a succession of solitary flowers held well above the leaves and occuring at any time of the year.
