Found in Antioquia Colombia at elevations around 2200 meters as a small sized, cold growing epiphyte with ramicauls enveloped by a close, short sheath and 2 short ones at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical-oblong, striate, obtuse and tridenticulate, contracted below into the canaliculate petiolate base leaf that blooms on 2, subdistichous, arching, to 8" [to 20 cm] long including the short peduncle, many flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe with 2 tubular lower floral bracts and a widely acute one above.
