Common Name The Large Flowered Stelis

Found in Guyana and Brazil at elevations of 900 to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 3, light ocher sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly obovate, leathery, faintly conduolicate, slightly infolded towards the base leaf that blooms in the spring on a slightly bent, .6 to .8" [1.5 to 2 cm] long, 25 to 30 flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe.
