Found in Imbabura Ecuador at elevations around 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect, stout ramicauls enveloped by a loose tubular sheath and another at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical-obovate, subacute to obtuse, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, congested, distichous, .6" [1.5 cm] long including the .32" [8 mm] long peduncle, simultaneously 2 to 3, several flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe from an annulus below the apex of the ramicaul with broadly infundibular, oblique, obtuse floral bracts.
