Found in Napo Ecuador at elevations around 1000 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls with a tubular sheath from below the middle and 2 to 3 others at the base and carrying a single, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, obtuse, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the early summer on an apical, erect, loose, 4 to 4.8" [10 to 12 cm] long including the 2” [5 cm] long peduncle, several flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe at the base of the leaf and has short, tubular, acute floral bracts.
