Common Name The Small Flowered Scaphosepalum

Found in Napo province of Ecuador at elevations around 500 to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute to acute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a loose, flexuous, descending, 3.2" [8 cm] long, fractiflex, successively few flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul.
