Found in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia? and Ecuador in montane cloud forests at elevations around 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 reddish sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coricaeous, dorsally carinate, tridenticulate, elliptic, acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late fall and early winter on a .6" [1.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence arising from the base of the ramicaul and enveloped by a few scarious bracts.
