Found in Quetzaltenango department of Guatemala at elevations around 1500 to 1800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 4 to 6 brown with dark red purple dots and a closed and flat ostium and carrying a single, apiacl, erect, green, oval, subcordate basally, apically acute-tridentate leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on successively 3 to 4, peduncle 1.16 to 1.6"{ [2.9 to 4 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence..
