Found in Ecuador at elevations around 1500 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls completely enveloped by imbricating acuminate, loose sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a successively single flowered, arranged in a fascile, inflorescence that arises through the apical sheath from below the apex of the ramicaul
