Found in Peru at elevations around 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with blackish, erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect to suberect, rigidly coriaceous, subverrucose, ellitpical, obtuse to rounded cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on a erect, smooth, slender, 3.2" [8 cm] long, successively few flowered inflorescence arsing from low on the ramicaul with 3, close, distant bracts and tubular, imbricating floral bracts.
