Found in Zamora-Chinchipe province of Ecuador at elevatins around 2500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with erect, ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 tubualr sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, faintly rugose, elliptical, subacute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late winter on a slender, [8 to 9.5 cm] long, successively few flowered, racemose inflorescence arising from low on the ramiucal with a bract below the middle and imbricating, tubular floral bracts.
