Found in Ecuador at elevations around 2050 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 2 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apcial, erect, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical, subacute, gradually narrowing into the slender petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a slender, erect, glabrous, to 10" [to 25 cm] long, successively several flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with a few spaced bracts and tubular imbricating floral bracts.
