Common Name The Wolf-Like Porroglossum

Found in Peru in cloud forests at elevations around 2100 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 loose, white, tubukar sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, subverrucose, lightly reticulate, obovate to ellitical, obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a suberect, to horizontal, glabrous, 3.2 to 4.2" [8 to 10.5 cm] long, congested, successively few flowered inflorescence with a few well spaced bracts arising from low on the ramicaul, and imbricating, tubular floral bracts.
