Found in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and Ecuador at elevations of 70 to 550 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with an erect ramicaul enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, narrowly ovate, acute, abruptly narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, 2" [5 cm] long, few to several flowered inflorescence
