Common Name The Turrialba Volcano Pleurothallis [A Volcano in Costa Rica]

Found in Costa Rica in cloud forests at elevations of 1680 to 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 thin tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, obovate, obtuse, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and fall on a slender, erect, .32 to .48" [.8 to 1.2 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence arising laterally from the ramicaul.
