Common Name The Pipe Like Pleurothallis [refers to the cylindrical sepaline spur]

Found in Colombia without locality as a medium sized epiphyte with a slender, erect, weak, more or less prolific ramicaul enveloped by 3 to 4, closely adpressed, microscopically ciliate sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, obtuse, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late spring on an erect, capillary, .6 to .8" [1.5 to 2 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a bract near the middle and arising from the apex of the ramicaul.

Similar to P mirabilis but differs in the much smaller size, a single flowered peduncle, a proportionally longer spur and a narrowly cuneate lip." Luer 1999
