Found in Guatemala and Costa Rica in wet montane and cloud forests at elevations of 1400 to 1650 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 thin, tubular sheaths and carrying asingle, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly obovate, subacute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms at most any time of the year on a fascile of successive single flowers arising from the ramicaul on an erect, 1" to 1.6" [2.5 to 4 cm]long, filamentous inflorescence
