Common Name The Armchair Pleurothallis [refers to the shape of the lip]
Flower Size .4 to .6" [1 to 1.5 cm]
Found in southeastern Ecuador at elevations of 1200 to 1800 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect, sharply ancipitous above the middle ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, suberect to spreading, coriaceous, ovate, acute, basally rounded, subcordate and sessile leaf that blooms in the late winter on a filiform, suberect, .4 to .6" [1 to 1.5 cm] long, fascile of solitary, successive, single flowered inflorescence arising through a reclining spathe.
