Common Name The Cousin Pleurothallis [refers to its similarity to P caudae-phocae]

Found in Pastaza Ecuador in cloud forests at elevations around 2400 meters as a small sized, cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by a thin tubular sheath below the middle and another at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, ovate, subacute, lightly acuminate, subcordate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the summer on a fascile of slender, to .8 to 1" [2 to 2.5 cm] long peduncles, successively single, several flowered inflorescence aring through a spathe.
