Found in Colombia and Ecuador at elevations around 1500 to 1800 meters as a miniature to medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by a close, tubular sheath below the middle and 2 to 3 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, ovate to narrowly ovate, acute, cordate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on a fascile of 1 to 5, to .6 to .28 to .4" [7 to 10 mm] long peduncle, successively single, few flowered inflorescence arising and concealed within a spathe at the apex of the ramicaul with a tubular floral bract.
