Common Name The Sibate Pleurothallis [A community in Cundinamarca Colombia]

Flower Size .4" [1 cm]

Found in Cundinamarca Colombia at elevations around 2800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 thin tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly obovate, subacute, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on a suberect, flexible, flexuous, loose, gradually lengthening, to 4" [10 cm] long including the 1.2" [3 cm] long peduncle, successively single, several flowered inflorescence arising from near the middle of the ramicaul.

CAUTION The photos above are close to P sibatensis, but I have not been able to get a flower to disect so as to prove that this is the true P sibatensis, collected by counsel Lehmann back in the 1800's. So at this time please use with extreme caution! The drawing is correct as far as I can know. Luer has seen the type.
