Common Name The Wrinkled Pleurothallis [refers to the lip]
Flower Size .4" [1 cm]
Found in Cauca Colombia at elevations around 3000 to 3100 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by a close, tubular sheath below the middle and 2 to 3 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, suberect to horizontal, coriaceous, ovate, acute, acuminate, deeply cordate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in in the summer on an erect, .08 to .12" [2 to 3 mm] long, successively single, few flowered inflorescence arising and concealed within a spathe at the base of the leaf and has a thin, tubular floral bract.
