Found in Ecuador and Brazil on relict trees at elevations of 900 to 1300 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to an erect ramicaul enveloped by 1 to 2 sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, ovate to elliptic, reflexed apices, conduplicate, leathery, dark olive green tarnished white leaf that blooms in the fall on a short to [8 mm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe.
