Common Name The Simulating Pleurothallis [refers to the the resemblance to P ephemera and relatives]

Found in Bahia state of Brazil as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing, caespitose epiphyte with relatively stout, erect, ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute, narrowly cuneate below into the base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, borne from near the apex of the ramicaul, arising through a spathe, peduncle .24 to .28" [6 to 7 mm] long, raceme .8 to 1" [2 to 2.5 cm] long sublax, longipedicellate, successively several-flowered inflorescence with shorter than the pedicel floral bracts.
"This species is related to P arcuata and relatives, but with the thickly carinate sepals, it is more similar to P ephemera. The raceme is long-pedicellate and much shorter than the leaf. The petals are basically similar: more or less spathulate, unguiculate, and acuminate at the tip. The lip is basically similar." Luer & Toscano 2011
