Found in Ecuador in wet montane forests at elevations around 2000 to 2800 meters as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptical, obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the base leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on an erect, 10" [25 cm] long, successively few flowered inflorescnece arising from the base of the ramicaul.
