Found in Panama and Colombia at elevations around 250 to 2500 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, hot to cold growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls with a close tubular sheath above the middle and another at the base and carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical-ovate, acute, cuneate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the winter and spring on an erect, lax, to 2.8 to 6" [7 to 15 cm] long including the 1.2 to 3.2" [3 to 8 cm] long slender peduncle, simultaneously few flowered inflorescence arising through a prostrate spathe
