Found in Zamora Chinchipe Ecuador in cloud forests at elevations around 2700 as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with slender, ascending ramicauls enveloped by 1 to 2 loose, tubular sheaths and carying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly obovate, obtuse to rounded, gradually narrowing below into the subpetiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a capillary, lateral, loose, 6 to 10" [15 to 25 cm] long, successively 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence with an oblique, acute floral bract
