Common Name The Broad Sepal Pleurothallis [refers to the dorsal sepal]

Found in Cauca and Valle de Cauca departments of Colombia in wet montane forests at elevations of 2000 to 2600 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing epiphytye with an erect, slender ramicaul with a close tubular sheath on the lower third and 2 others at the base and carrying, a single, erect, coriaceous, narrowly elliptic-obovate, subacute, slightly acuminate, narrowly cuneate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the fall on a fascile of successive, single flowered inflorescence arising through a narrow spathe and has tubular floral bracts.
