Common Name or Meaning The Eight Eyebrowed Pleurothallis [possibly refers to the rows of hairs on the lip]

Found in southeastern Brazil at elevations of 900 to 1200 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 3 tubular, rugose, hairy, purple speckled sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, fleshy coriaceous, linear to narrowly lanceolate, conduplicate, dark olive green leaf that blooms in the fall on up to 4, 2.8 to 4" [7 to 10 cm] long, curved to pendent, successively to 5, 5 to 12 flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe.
