Found in Bahia and Minas Gerais States of Brazil in rocky areas at elevations of 800 to 1550 as a small sized, hot to cool growing lithophyte with cylindrical stems enveloped by brownish, tubular, evenescent sheaths and carrying linear-lanceolate, fleshy, stiff, conduplicate leaf that can bloom at any time of the year on a fractiflex, simultaneously, several flowered inflorescence.
