Common Name or Meaning The Little Eye Pleurothallis [refers to the parting of the lateral sepals to form a "Window" upper surface of the flowers]

Found in Morona-Santiago province of Ecuador at elevations of 2800 to 2900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 thin, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, elliptical, subacute to obtuse, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer and winter on an erect, slender, .6 t o.8" [1.5 to 2 cm] long lax, successively single, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence arising from a node on the ramicaul and has thin infundibular floral bracts.
