Common Name or Meaning The Pendent Pleurothallis [refers to the inflorescence]

Found in Cundinamarca and Norte de Santander departments of Colombia at elevations around 2000 to 2500 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls with a close, tubular sheath near the 2 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, narrowly obovate, acute, acuminate narrowly cuneate below into the base leaf that blooms in the later spring on 1 to 3, pendent, .8 to 1" [2 to 2.5 cm] long including the .4" [1 cm] long, subdense, simultaneously few flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe at the apex of the ramicaul and carries non resupinate flowers.
" characterized by the tall ramicaul carrying a single, large, narrowly obovate, subpetiolata base leaf that blooms on a few to 2 to 4 flowered racemes of large, rosy white to greenish white flowes. The uppermost synsepal is deeply cucullate with the petals and middle sepal pointed downwards. The lip is ovate with narrow calli on the basal lobes that surround the column." Luer 1999
