Common Name The New Harling Pleurothallis
Flower Size 1/4" [8mm]
Found in Ecuador on high scrubby slopes on mostly unshaded hard rocky soil at elevations of 2900 to 3000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with coarse, thick, elliptic leaves and erect ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 loose, tubular sheaths. The 8" [20 cm] long, slender peduncle of successive, erect flowers emerges in the summer, fall and winter from an annulus below the abscission layer.
