Found in Sao Paulo state of Brazil as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with an elongate, cylindrical rhizome enveloped by hairy sheaths and giving rise to a secondary stem every .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] carrying a single, apical, parellel to the substrate, green, elliptical, entire, acute, shortly conduplicate into the canaliculate, pseudo-petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a basal, short, single flowered inflorescence
