Common Name or Meaning Mitchell's Pleurothallis [American orchid enthusiast in Haiti]

Found in the Dominican Republic and Haiti at elevations around 950 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 thin, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly ellipitcal, subacute to obtuse, microscopically erose, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter and spring on an erect, distichous, .6" [1.5 cm] long including the .2" [5 mm] long peduncle, loose, successively single, few flowered inflorescence arising from near the apex of the ramicaul and has an oblique acute floral bract.
