Found in eastern and southern Brazil as well as Argentina at elevations of 800 to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 3 light green to brown, membraneous, short lived sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, fleshy, ellitpical, dark olive green leaves that blooms in the spring through fall on 1 to 2, .16 to .24" [4 to 6 mm] long, successively single to 2 flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe
