Found in coastal Falcon Venezuela at elevations around 1300 to 1500 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped with a close tubular sheath below the middle and 1 to 2 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, horizontal, coriaceous, ovate, acute, deeply cordate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the summer on a successively single, few flowered inflorescence arising and mostly concealed within a reclining spathe at the base of the leaf.
