Common Name The Lanky Plant Pleurothallis [refers to the slender plant habit]

Found in Huanaco department of Peru as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls with a tubular sheath below the middle and 2 to 3 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly linear, acute, narrowly cuneate below into the indistinct petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a loose, distichous, 2 to 3.2" [5 to 8 cm] long including the .4" [1 cm] long peduncle, simultaneously several flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe from an annulus below the apex of the ramicaul.

"Characterized by t long, extremely slender leaves about .2" [5 mm] wide. The racemes of white flowers with long, narrrow sepals is shorter than the leaf. The eptals are rounded at the apex. The lip is obovate and shallowly concave between a pair of low calli and there are no verrucosities present at the apex." luer 1999
