Found in Panama at elevations around 1200 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect to suberect ramicauls with a thin tubular sheath below the middle and 2 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, acute, acuminate, cuneate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the winter and spring on 1 to 3, delicate, distichous, 3.2 to 4.8" [8 to 12 cm] long including the 1.2" [3 cm] long peduncle, loosely, simultaneously several to many flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe at the base of the leaf.
