Found in Morona-Santiago province of Ecuador in cloud forests at elevations around 1700 to 1800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect, sharply ancipitous ramicauls with 2 to 3 tubular sheaths near or at the base and carrying a single, apical, more or less spreading, coriaceous, ovate, acute, rounded to shallowly cordate into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the summer on a fascile of .2 to .24" [5 to 6 mm] long, successive single, few flowered inflorescence arising from the base of the leaf through a reclining spathe
