Found in Puntarenas Costa Rica at elevations around 1500 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls with a close tubular sheath below the middle and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, ovate, acute, cordatre into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the later summer on a fascile of 1 to 2, .6 to .72" [1.5 to 1.8 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence arising from the base of the leaf
