Found in Venezuela at elevations of 1000 to 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect, stout ramicauls with a tubular sheath below the middle and 1 to 2 others at the base carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late summer and fall on a 1.6 to 2" [4 to 5 cm] including the .8 to 1" [2 to 2.5 cm] long peduncle, that is slightly longer than the leaf, successively and distantly 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence arising from a node below the abscission layer and has a thin tubular, microscopically scabrous floral bract.
