Found in Belize, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua in tropical rain forests at elevations around 100 to 600 meters on tree trunk, often near rivers and swamps as a mini-miniature sized, scandent, hot to warm growing epiphyte with an elongate, slender, terete stem enveloped basally by a few tubular sheaths and carrying a singgle, apical, narrowly elliptic, acute-acuminate, tridenticulate apically, gradually narrowing basally into the base leaf that blooms in the late winter and spring on a terminal, terete, shorter than the leaf, racemose, densely several [9] flowered inflorescence basally enveloped by a conduplicate, spatheaceous bract and an obliquely funnel-shaped, obtuse floral bract.
