Common Name Hoeijeri's Pleurothallis [Swedish Collector of Species current ]

Flower Size .4" [1 cm]

Found in Carchi Ecuador at elevations around 1950 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with spreading to erect, stout ramicauls with a close tubular sheath near the middle and 2 to 3 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, hjorizontal to spreading, coriaceous, broadly ovate, acute, acuminate, deeply cordate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the fall on a fascile of solitary successivly 3 to 4 at once, several flowered inflorescence arising through and enveloped by a reclining spathe at the base of the leaf.
