Common Name or Meaning The Girrafe-Like Pleurothallis [refers to the long necked column]

Found in Ecuador at elevations around 1200 to 2000 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by a close, tubular sheath below the middle and 2 to 3 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, suberect to spreading, coriaceous, ovate, acute, slightly acuminate, sessile and shallowly cordate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a succession of single flowered, racemose inflorescence arising through a spathe and has thin tubular floral bracts.
