Common Name Formond's Pleurothallis

Found in Massif de la Hotte Haiti at elevations around 2000 meters meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 thin, tubular sheathsand carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical, subacute to obtuse, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a slender, 1.6" [3 .5cm] long including the .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] long peduncle erect, secund, lax, simultaneously 3 to 4 flowered inflorescence arising from near the apex of the ramicaul with a tubular floral bract.
