Common Name The Delicate Flowered Pleurothallis

Found in Ecuador and Peru on felled trees in wet montane forests on the eastern slopes of the Andes at altitudes of 500 TO 1700 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing, caespitose epiphyte and sometime terrestrial with erect ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, erect, apical, elliptical, acute, petiolate leaf which blooms on a long, apical, arching, several flowered, simultaneously opening inflorescence arising from a long spathe with an annulus that holds the flowers longer than the leaves and occurs in June.
